'Tis the season...

...to read Little Women again! As most of you readers know, it's my tradition to read Little Women every year. I always read the first chapter "Playing Pilgrims" on Thanksgiving night.

So, any of you that what to join me, please do! And I would love to know how you are coming along, what your favorite parts are and everything else. Leave comments! ;) My sister Aimee is going to read it at the same time. Yay!

I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving day!

Love,
Jane

Laurie! You would put a picture of Laurie just to tempt me to read it wouldn't you? haha
I might try to read it. But goodness your so fast I'll be reading it for a year and you'll probably finish it in a week. ;)
But maybe Aimee and I can stay on the same page. (no pun intended hmmhmm)

Oh yes please do friends! Sometimes I read this is rather slowly. It's alright. :) I haven't finished reading Bleak House yet so that will slow me down a little!

Do do do and let me know how you like it!

I am reading a book called Master and Commander! My sister and I started a writing program, the beginning of the school year, and it is where you write a adventure novel in a year! So anyhow, I am doing one one the Napoleonic War era. (I know NOTHING about it) One of my friends suggested that I read it. So far it is good! :)
So, I will be a little behind rading it, but I have all winter! :)

Little Women.. well, I suppose most of you readers already know my views on it... I think every person, man or woman, young or old should read it. It is a necessity to life. =]
But if you know me, you also know that I am a SUPER slow reader. So, since I have only read 4 books since I read Little Women- which I read a while ago... I cannot read it now. so sad.
However, I am reading The Scottish Chiefs which is SO good! and also very long. =] I think Jo would be proud of me. =]

SO Marguerite, I am the same way. Don't feel to bad.

Oh! What is is Scottish Chiefs about?

Oh! I would love to read Master and Commander! I saw the movie that came out a few years ago and really liked it. Have you seen or read the Horatio Hornblower series? SO good. Although, I feel I should warn you that it is a little on the gory side. A great story though in my opinion. I've never read the books but they are in my "To read some day" list. :)

Oh Marg, no worries! You are reading my second favorite book of all so I will forgive you. :)

Master and Commander is a little gory too, but is still good! I have seen Horatio Hornblower! I LOVE them! I am hoping to read the series after I am done with Master and Commander! I heard that they are not worth reading tho, but I think that I may read them anyway! :)
Master and Commander, I found out, is not really a book for young ladies. Sadly enough. :( Well, I guess Horatio Hornblower is kinda the same way.
